COX'S BAZAR (AA) - July 30, 2012 - Rohingya Muslims who escaped from the violence against them in Arakan region in the west of Myanmar and now stay in camps alongside Bangladesh border with Myanmar are suffering from poverty during the holy Muslim month of Ramadan.
Three women, Hamide, Reyhana and Arafa whose husbands were taken away by Myanmar soldiers, are fighting for their lives in the camps after fleeing by a boat from the violence against them.
The women who have not received any information about their husbands yet are now living with their small children in a barrack.
Rohingya Muslims are spending the days of holy month of Ramadan under hard living conditions. They are in badly need of food, security and sheltering.
Thousands of Rohingya Muslims who are afraid to go to the refugee camps are taking shelter in the villages of Cox's Bazar.
The women are staying inside the barrack, and they have to fulfill daily routines in the same barrack.
They sleep above sacks through nights, and pray under tough conditions.
