SREBRENICA
Bosniak head of Bosnia-Herzegovina's Presidency Bakir Izzetbegovic said that the only revenge against perpetrators of Srebrenica massacre would be to shape up a system and state which would guarantee that the massacre would not be repeated again.
Izzetbegovic, who attended funeral ceremony of 520 newly identified Srebrenica massacre victims at the Potocari memorial cemetery, told AA that each year he got more emotional in the memorial ceremonies.
"What did these innocent people do to those murderers? I will never find an answer to this question," said Izzetbegovic, adding, "we are burying our 520 martyrs today. Among them, there is a 94-year-old woman and 15-year-old children."
Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag represented Turkey during the funeral ceremony which took place on the 17th year of Srebrenica genocide.
Croatia's Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic, Bosnia-Herzegovina's Foreign Minister Zlatko Lagumdzija and many high-level officials besides tens of thousands of Bosnians attended the ceremony.
