ANKARA
Anadolu Agency (AA) and Mauritanian News Agency signed a cooperation protocol on Wednesday.
Mauritanian Minister of Communications & Relations with Parliament Hamdi Ould Mahjoub and an accompanying delegation visited Editor's Desk at AA, and met AA's Executive Board Chairman & Director General Kemal Ozturk via video-conference system.
Ozturk expressed belief that the agreement would develop the relations between Turkey and Mauritania too.
Ozturk, who briefed the guest delegation about AA's centennial vision activities, said that the agency would broadcast in 11 languages within the scope of centennial vision, and he expressed hope that AA would be one of the strongest news agencies of the world within eight years.
We are planning to make broadcast in six languages by the end of this year, said Ozturk, adding that the number of daily news stories would reach 1,000 in the end of 2012.
Mauritanian minister said that they respected Turkish people very much, adding that they were closely following the progress Turkey recorded in the recent period.
We appreciate especially the level Turkey reached in economy and politics, he added.
The protocol between the two news agencies will bring a new dimension in the relations between Turkey and Mauritania, said Mahjoub.
