SARAJEVO

Former Bosnian general Atif Dudakovic refuted allegations that he was involved in "crimes of war" during the Bosnia war.

Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), one of the unforgettable commanders of the Bosnia war, retired general Atif Dudakovic underlined that "while no prosecutor or a court brought formal charges against him, NGOs in the Bosnian Serb Republic, making up one of the two entities of Bosnia-Herzegovina, and leader of Bosnian Serbs Milorad Dodik made demands for his arrest."
"I was not surprised by verbal attacks. I am guilty because I defended my state. Before anything, I struggled so that my people would not get hurt. At that period, others were involved in drawing up a plan to exterminate the religion, culture and traditions of a group of people," Dudakovic underlined.
Touching on Turkey, Atif Dudakovic emphasized that Turkey was a country with a great and rich past.
"I believe that Turkey will be a decision maker in Europe and the world and will play a crucial role. Many countries in the world should look at the Turkish model for themselves," Dudakovic also said.
