MOSCOW
Russian police say a 15 year-old student was detained in relation to Monday's deadly school shootings in Moscow.
At least one policeman and a teacher were shot dead when an armed individual opened fire at High School No. 263 in Moscow's northeast neighborhood Otradnoye.
Russian officials say the assailant was a student at the school.
The armed attacker also took 20 other students as hostages immediately after the shootings, they added.
Heavily armed special police units were rushed to the scene. All of the hostages were freed and the assailant detained, Russian officials also said.
Russian police told the media that the attacker was a successful 9th year student named Sergey, Russia's Channel 1 reported.
An investigation has been launched into the fatal incident.
