The Syrian Human Rights Monitoring Organization said on Sunday that 18 people were killed in military operations in the country.
The organization said five people were killed in the outskirts of the capital Damascus, while many people were wounded.
Operations also continued in Duma, the organization said.
The organization said two people each in Aleppo, Al-Raqqah and Daraa were also killed in a gunshot, whereas four people died in Idlib and three others lost their lives in Homs.
Local sources said Syrian army continued operations in many cities despite United Nations (UN)-Arab League Special Envoy to Syria Kofi Annan's plan.
Annan's six-point peace plan includes demands for a ceasefire, the immediate withdrawal of heavy armour from residential areas and access for humanitarian aid.
