An Egyptian court on Saturday ordered the release of an opposition activist without bail on charges of inciting violence.
Ahmed Douma faces charges of inciting violence at the main headquarters of the Muslim Brotherhood in the Cairo district of Mokattam in March, in which scores of people were injured.
On Thursday, a court ordered Douma’s release on bail on charges of insulting Egypt's toppled President Mohammad Morsi.
The activist was convicted in May on a number of charges, including insulting the president and circulating false news.
His release comes a day after more than 30 people were killed in clashes between Morsi’s supporters and opponents.
Morsi, Egypt’s first democratically elected president, was overthrown by the army on Wednesday after millions of Egyptians took to the streets against his regime.
