BEIRUT (AA) - August 27, 2012 - Clashes between supporters of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and opponents in Tripoli, Lebanon ended after the Lebanese army took control in the region.
Security officials said on Monday that a person named Adil Osman was shot dead by a sniper in clashes on Sunday.
17 people were killed and nearly 100 others were wounded in street fighting which continued between the country's Nusayris and Sunnis for five days.
Lebanese army detained 18 people in clashes, officials said.
