The Cairo-based Arab League has informed member-states of Egypt's decision last week designating the Muslim Brotherhood a "terrorist" group.
In a Monday statement, the pan-Arab body said it had distributed an Egyptian memorandum among representatives of member-states regarding the Brotherhood's "terrorist" designation.
"Egyptian authorities reaffirm their resolve to take all necessary steps to enforce the decision based on an Arab anti-terror pact and an agreement to combat money laundering," the statement said.
Signed in Cairo in 1998, the Arab anti-terrorism agreement aims to boost Arab security and judicial cooperation in the fight against "terrorism."
The agreement allows for the deportation of persons whose names are included on terrorist lists.
Some 17 countries have signed the agreement, but only 13 of the Arab League's 22 member states have ratified the deal.
On Sunday, Arab League Secretary-General Nabil al-Arabi said that implementation of the Egyptian decision regarding the Brotherhood would "rely" on the policies of the anti-terror pact's signatories.
