4 killed in helicopter crash in Russia’s Dagestan
3 others hospitalized in serious condition, say authorities
ISTANBUL
Four people were killed in a helicopter crash near the village of Achi-Su in Russia’s Dagestan region, the republic’s Health Minister Yaroslav Glazov told the state-run Tass news agency.
“The KEMZ helicopter crashed near the village of Achi-Su," Glazov said, adding that four people died and three others are hospitalized in serious condition.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Dagestan, the helicopter was heading to Izberbash.
Officials reported that the helicopter destroyed a private house, which was empty at the time.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims.
