Turkish stock exchange begins new week flat
BIST 100 index earns around 1.8 points at opening session

ISTANBUL
The Turkish benchmark stock index opened the new week on Monday at 9,113.27 points, increasing slightly by 0.02% or 1.77 points versus the previous close.
At the previous close, the BIST 100 index dropped by 0.32% to 9,111.50 points with a daily transaction volume of 56 billion Turkish liras ($1.76 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate was 32.1105 as of 10.20 a.m. (0720GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 34.7785, and the GBP/TRY rate was 40.5180.
One ounce of gold was sold for $2,166.75, while the barrel price of Brent oil was around $85.95.
