CANAKKALE (AA) - July 26, 2012 - Turkish Minister of Customs and Trade Hayati Yazici on Thursday said that Syrian entrepreneurs could enter Turkey by vehicles with Syrian license plate and purchase goods from their Turkish partners or Turkish companies and return to Syria with the same vehicles.
Speaking to reporters in the north-western province of Canakkale, Yazici said that "at this time, we are not letting vehicles with Turkish license plates enter Syria".
Turkey's decision to bar Turkish vehicles from entering Syria came due to security concerns after fierce clashes in Syria and many Turkish trucks were either torched or looted.
