MUGLA
Three battleships with 900 staff from Japanese Navy Command arrived in Marmaris on Thursday.
The battleships "JS Kashima", "JS Matsuyuki", "JS Shimayuki" which had left Japan on May 22 for training purpose, have anchored at Marmaris Aksaz Naval Base.
On the occasion of the visit, Japanese Ambassador to Turkey Kiyoshi Araki and Commander of the Japanese Navy Command Admiral Hidetoshi Fuchinoue met mayor of Marmaris Ali Acar at his office.
Japanese delegations later on laid a wreath to Ataturk's Monument in the city center.
