The report says unemployment in Turkey has decreased 1.6 percent in 2007-2012 period although many advanced economies continue to face high or even rising unemployment still five years after the outbreak of the global financial crisis.
Comparing the unemployment rates by countries, the report shows unemployment in Turkey, Chile, Columbia, Germany, and Israel has decreased 1.6 percent in 2007-2012 period, when compered with the pre-crisis period.
The report showed between 2010 and 2011, income inequalities increased in 14 of the 26 advanced economies studied, including France, Denmark, Spain and the United States.
Labour market and income situation are uneven but can be improved by consolidating the rebalancing process in emerging countries and finding the right balance between employment and macroeconomic goals in advanced economies, as the report says.
