Turkish Red Crescent denied claims that its aid materials have been used by Free Syrian Army.
Ahmet Lutfi Akar, the head of Turkish Red Crescent, said in a statement that media reports in some newspapers claimed that aid materials of the organization were used by Free Syrian Army. Such stories were completely baseless, he said.
Red Crescent condemned those who wrote these news stories and launched a legal action against them, the statement said.
Akar said Turkish Red Crescent conducted its aid efforts without making discrimination in religion, race, language and political view, stating that it provided humanitarian aid to Syrian people, who were staying in camps in Turkey, in accordance with these basic principles.
