ANKARA
Prime Ministry press center stated on Thursday that Erdogan would attend his Justice & Development (AK) Party congress in Gaziantep city, and then proceed to Kilis on May 6.
Turkish and foreign press members will be allowed to watch Erdogan's visit to Syrian citizens who had been staying in Turkey after they escaped from the violence in their country.
At least 9,627 Syrians are staying in Kilis.
The UN says about 9,000 people have died in Syria since pro-democracy protests began in March 2011.
