ISTANBUL
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed Gaza and Palestinian issue with Hamas political bureau chairman Khaled Mashal on the phone late on Friday.
Mashal called Erdogan on the phone, and briefed about his visit to Gaza, his meeting with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, and consensus efforts between the parties in Palestine.
Mashal thanked for Turkey's efforts for a cease fire between Israel and Gaza, and he invited Erdogan to Gaza.
Erdogan stressed that immediate consensus in Palestine was very important for Turkey.
