ANKARA
Turkish parliament speaker on Sunday opened a photo exhibition on the defeated July 15, 2016 coup attempt at the parliament.
The exhibition titled "the nation said no to the coup" drew a lot of attention from the public.
Binali Yildirim said July 15 marks democracy's victory for Turkey.
"We demonstrated a resistance on July 15, 2016 which could be shown as an example to the whole world," Yildirim stressed.
Another exhibition regarding July 15 which comprised of photos shot by Anadolu Agency correspondents during the coup attempt was also opened in Ankara's Ulus Square and Kizilay Metro Station.
The exhibitions attracted a lot of attention from the citizens.
FETO and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup of July 15, 2016 in Turkey, which left 251 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.
