Besir Atalay said two Turkish journalists, Adem Ozkose and Hamit Coskun, who went missing in Syria, had a phone talk with their families and they were in good condition.
"The Foreign Ministry is trying to take further steps in the light of this recent development," Atalay told reporters in Istanbul.
Atalay said the government was closely monitoring developments, adding that the Foreign Ministry was doing what was necessary regarding the two Turkish journalists.
Ozkose and Coskun arrived in the northwestern Syrian city of Idlib, a rebel bastion, on March 9 to cover the Syria crisis.
They were reported to have been taken under custody by pro-government forces and later they were reportedly handed over to the Syrian intelligence officers.
