ANKARA
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on Tuesday met with representatives of an opposition group of Syrian Nusayris in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on the sidelines of a conference of Syrian opposition.
Sources said Davutoglu's meeting was long planned with General Coordinator of the Executive Board of the Conference Tevfik Dunya and Secretary General Yusuf Bassem and that it had nothing to do with the twin bombings in the southern Turkish town of Reyhanli which killed 51 people.
Sources said cited Davutoglu saying in the meeting that Turkey approached all parties in Syria without making any discrimination between any sect, religious or ethnic group and that his country had no negative attitude against Syria's Nusayris.
Sources said the Nusayri representatives had expressed solidarity with Turkey and condemned the terrorist attacks in Reyhanli.
