Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu had a phone conversation with Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu.
Officials said that Davutoglu and Ihsanoglu discussed developments in Mali during phone conversation.
Davutoglu called Ihsanoglu and informed him about Turkey's views regarding the situation in Mali.
Turkey supports international efforts for re-establishment of national reconciliation in Mali
On the other hand, Turkish Foreign Ministry said Turkey would keep supporting ongoing international efforts for re-establishment of national reconciliation and democratic atmosphere through free elections in Mali.
A statement by the ministry said that Turkey attached a great importance to territorial integrity of Mali, stating that Turkey hoped that Mali would reach peace and tranquility as soon as possible.
It said that Turkey believed that the UN Security Council's resolution 2085 (2012) on Mali should be implemented immediately.
"Turkey will keep supporting Malian people and administration," it added.
