ANKARA
Davutoglu's meeting with the Norwegian delegation took place in the Foreign Ministry Residence and was closed to the press corps.
Several lawmakers from Turkish parliament also attended the meeting.
During the meeting Davutoglu noted that Turkey and Norway relations were escalating in the recent years. Davutoglu also noted that he was expecting Norway's King Harald V and his wife Queen Sonja to visit Turkey in the near future.
Stating that Turkey and Norway were sharing an efficient cooperation at the international platform, Davutoglu stressed that there was a resemblance between both countries which both are not member of European Union.
The head of the Norwegian Parliament Foreign Relations and Defense Commission Ine Eriksen Soreide, in his part, informed Davutoglu that they were willing to escalates relations between both countries' parliaments.
Noting that his country was anxious about the Syria crisis, Soreide reminded that they had visited the container camp in the southern province of Kilis where thousands of Syrian people are currently staying.
Soriede also praised Turkey's efforts in terms of hosting Syrian people in its borders.
