Turkey seizes 245 liters of counterfeit alcohol

TEKIRDAG, Turkey
A total of 245 liters (64.7 gallons) of counterfeit alcohol was seized Tuesday in northwestern Turkey, according to a security source.
Acting on a tip-off, gendarmerie teams in Tekirdag province launched an operation in the Ergene district, the source said on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
Fourteen cartons of cigarettes were also confiscated.
