Three suspected Daesh/ISIS terrorists were arrested in northwestern Turkey, security sources said Tuesday.

Authorities said the suspects include an intelligence operative of the terror group, added the sources, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

They were tracked down in Bursa just a day after a high-ranking Daesh/ISIS terrorist was captured in the same city.

The suspects were arrested by Turkish anti-terrorism and intelligence units, who commenced operations hours after locating the Daesh/ISIS terrorist identified as Y.A.A, codenamed Abu Taki Alshamy, on Monday.

Y.A.A., who is from Deir ez-Zour in Syria, was often seen in execution videos posted by Daesh/ISIS.

Turkey was one of the first countries to recognize Daesh/ISIS as a terror group in 2013, as soon as it emerged.

The country has since been attacked by Daesh/ISIS terrorists numerous times, including 10 suicide bombings, seven bombings and four armed attacks which killed 315 people and injured hundreds.,

In response, Turkey launched military and police operations at home and abroad to prevent further terror attacks.
