HATAY
Thirty-three Syrian army defectors including a general and two colonels have entered into Turkey, Turkish authorities said Monday.
Authorities said the army defectors along with their family members were sent to a camp in Apaydin town of the southern Hatay province.
Over 33,000 Syrians have fled government violence in their country into Turkey so far. They are provided shelter at camps along Turkey's border with Syria.
