ISTANBUL (AA) - September 9, 2012 - A group of Syrian and Lebanese opinion leaders came together in Istanbul after attending an international conference titled "Arab Spring and Peace in the New Middle East: Muslim and Christian Perspectives".
The group included the leader of Muslim Brotherhood in Syria Mohammed Riyadh Sakfa, former Lebanese President Amine Gemayel, Shiite thinker Hani Fahs and Sheikh Abbas al-Cevheri.
The meeting of the Syrians and Lebanese focused on relations between their peoples. All of the participants expressed great sorrow over the massacres taking place in Syria. They all agreed that Assad must leave office.
