LUBECK
The two Patriot air defence systems requested by Turkey, are to leave the Travemunde port of Lubeck province in Germany at the evening hours on Tuesday.
The ship is expected to arrive at the Iskenderun port on January 21.
Lieutenant Colonel Stefan Klentz, who is to take over the Patriot Missile Battery Command in May, stated that 303 vehicles and over 130 containers would be loaded on the ''Suecia Seaways'' ship and the missiles will depart from another port in Germany not mentioned for security reasons.
Klentz also said that 350 German soldiers will serve in Turkey and some would arrive on Thursday and the rest on January 20.
A Dutch military team leaves for Turkey for Patriots
A 30-official military team departed from the Netherlands for Turkey on Tuesday in order to make preparations for the deployment of Patriot air defense system which will be installed along Turkish-Syrian border.
Dutch team, which left for Turkey's southern Adana province, will survey and make required preparations for the deployment of Patriots that are expected to reach Adana on January 22 after a two-week sea voyage.
Two cargo planes carrying Dutch military officials and equipment are expected to land in Adana in the evening.
Earlier, Dutch government and parliament approved to send two Patriots to Turkey under a demand by NATO.
A Dutch military unit --comprised of 270 officials-- who will operate the Patriots will leave for Adana on January 21.
