Palestinian prime minister Wednesday called on Turkish prime minister to help Palestinian inmates at Israeli prisons.
Palestine's Premier Ismail Haniya received the Turkish delegation, headed by Mehmet Duman, the secretary general of United Cities and Local Governments Middle East and West Asia Section (UCLG-MEWA), in Gaza.
During the meeting, Haniya drew attention to problems Palestinian inmates at Israeli prisons, and said Palestinians prisoners had been on a hunger strike for two weeks to protest bad conditions at the prisons.
Haniya also called on Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to help Palestinian prisoners.
