Over 26,000 liters of smuggled fuel seized in Turkey
Truck driver also held in operation in central Konya province
KONYA, Turkey
More than 26,000 liters (around 7,000 gallons) of smuggled fuel was seized in an operation in central Turkey, according to a security source on Thursday.
The provincial anti-smuggling and organized crime unit in Konya stopped a suspicious truck on the road, the source said on condition of anonymity due to restriction on speaking to the media.
As much as 26,500 liters of smuggled, mixed fuel found in the vehicle was seized, and the driver held.
