ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish Directorate of Religious Affairs said the Muezzin of Bezm-i Alem Valide Sultan Mosque, Dolmabahce Istanbul, continued performing his duty by adding "the assertions on Muezzin's suspension or taken off are groundless."
Abdulkadir Ozkan, an official of Directorate of Religious Affairs, said the assertions didn't reflect the truth.
Reminding that the investigations were not personal, Ozkan said "The investigation aims to research behind the scenes. It's not a new investigation, it has been launched a day ago."
Valide Sultan Mosque was turned into a first aid center during the protests between the security forces and activists in Gezi Park incidents.
Office of Mufti of Istanbul launched an investigation and reviewed camera records.
