Turkey's ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party will propose Turkish Parliament to adopt a Constitutional amendment in order to hold local elections earlier than it was scheduled.
Speaking to AA on Wednesday, AK Party's Group Deputy Chair Nurettin Canikli said that they would present the proposal to Parliament probably on Thursday, adding that AK Party was signing the proposal together with the opposition Nationalist Movement Party (MHP).
We will sign the proposal and send it to MHP, and then present it to Parliament, he said.
The proposal envisages an additional provisional article to Constitution, thus, the local elections will be held earlier than scheduled.
