Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) celebrated the 25th anniversary of their foundation in Istanbul recently.
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), the President of EO, Samer Ibrahim Kurdi said that they wanted to celebrate their 25th year at a very special place.
"We chose Istanbul as it is a bridge between the east and the west. Istanbul offers a magnificent history and crucial promises for the future," Kurdi indicated.
"Turkey is a rising star in recent years. It is not merely a strong regional power. Turkey is a strong player globally," Kurdi stressed.
"We have a membership of around 9,000 people across the globe. The average income of our members is around 18 million USD per year," Kurdi noted.
"Our members earn a total of around 160 billion USD annually. Our members employ some 1.6 million people," Kurdi stated.
"I am sure that many of our members will think about the investment opportunities in Turkey and begin working. They would like to make use of this exciting atmosphere," Kurdi said.
"Our members kept growing despite the economic crisis in Europe. We created new jobs while big corporations laid off workers," Kurdi also said.
EO is a global non-profit organization whose stated mission is to "Engage leading entrepreneurs to learn and grow. EO was formerly knows as YEO (Young Entrepreneurs' Organization).
