ISTANBUL
Police arrested two suspects in Istanbul late Wednesday who were allegedly planning an attack on the printing press of a local media organization.
According to Istanbul police, the suspects planned to use arms and petrol bombs in their attack.
Police also confiscated a rifle, five bullets and a motorcycle from the suspects. One of the suspects had been on trial for being a terrorist group member, police added.
On Feb. 11, the Istanbul offices of the Yeni Safak and Yeni Akit dailies were simultaneously attacked by masked assailants who threw Molotov cocktails and opened fired on their office buildings.
