ANKARA
Journalists from Indian media institutions and representatives of non-governmental organizations visited the Ankara headquarters of Turkey's Anadolu Agency Wednesday.
Deputy Director-General and Editor-in-Chief Metin Mutanoglu welcomed the delegation who came to the country as part of the Turkish Prime Ministry Office of Public Diplomacy project called "Turkey's Activities in Public Diplomacy."
Following a presentation of the agency's centennial vision and its plans to enlarge its network across the world, Mutanoglu told the group that AA has grown increasingly larger recently, especially in its English and Arabic news production.
"We must get stronger and cooperate, we are ready for it," he said, stressing that the agency does not yet have an office in India, but is planning to open one.
The agency currently broadcasts in Turkish, English, Arabic, Russian, Kurdish, French, Albanian and also, collectively in Bosnian, Serbian and Croatian.
The agency has divided its global network into five main regions as part of its centennial vision: the Americas, Europe, Middle East-Africa, Asia-Caucasus and Asia-Pacific.
