ANKARA
Turkey's Minister of EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis on Thursday described the head of Turkey's Religious Affairs Directorate Mehmet Gormez's visit to the Fener Greek Patriarch Bartholomew today as "an historic one".
Speaking on private TGRT TV channel on Thursday, Bagis said that he held a phone conversation with the Greek Foreign Minister Stavros Lambrinidis and requested his sensitivity for certain issues to be handled in Greece.
On the Heybeliada seminary, Egemen Bagis said that it was out of question for them to be against the reopening of the seminary.
