ISLAMABAD
Ozcan Inan, representative of Turkish relief association Kimse Yok Mu in Islamabad, told AA on Thursday that local authorities directed them and they distributed 200 tents and 150 thousand packages of provisions, however, as the weather is cold they urgently needed at least one thousand tents and 5 thousand blankets.
Inan said they opened 26 water wells, repaired four orphanages and one nursing home with the donations of the philantrophists. He also said they were continuing the construction of 300 buildings including schools, mosques and market places.
Pakistan Disaster Management Institution told that five million people were affected from the flood this year and one and a half million were living in need of urgent help in an announcement it made last week.
