Roads were blocked to 586 villages in eastern provinces of Turkey due to heavy snowfall and blizzard.
Governor's office of the eastern Van province stated on Saturday that roads to 203 villages of the city had been blocked due to snowfall which had been continuing for days.
Teams are working on opening the blocked roads, said the office.
Roads to 210 villages in Bitlis have been also blocked as snow thickness has reached at least two meters.
In Hakkari city, roads to 75 villages have been closed, while traffic stopped on Hakkari-Sirnak highway as avalanche fell on the road.
Roads to 98 villages were also closed in Mus city.
