Galatasaray received their second beating at the hands of Spanish giants Real Madrid in the Champions League, putting their chances of qualifying for finals in jeopardy.
Galatasaray and Real Madrid looked fairly evenly-matched after a first half in the group B game that saw an exchange of goals and a red card that sent off Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.
However, Galatasaray fell apart in the second half, blasted by a constant stream of goals that pulled the score away to 4-1 ten minutes before the final whistle.
The Lions now await the last stand against Juventus, their final chance to catch a last-16 ticket. They will qualify provided that they win and fourth-place Copenhagen lose against Real Madrid, who secured a first-place qualification after tonight's victory.
In the first match of the group stage, Real Madrid had smashed Galatasaray by 6-1 in Turk Telekom Arena, Istanbul, where Portuguese attacker Cristiano Ronaldo had scored a hat-trick.
Stadium: Santiago Bernabeu (Spain)
Scorers: Galatasaray - Umut Bulut (39'), Real Madrid - Gareth Bale (37'), Alvaro Arbeloa (63'), Isco (81')
