ANKARA
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu had a phone conversation with the joint UN and Arab League's special envoy on Syria Kofi Annan.
Diplomatic sources said that Annan phoned Davutoglu and exchanged views prior to his upcoming visit to Syria.
Annan asked Minister Davutoglu for an evaluation on Syria. The two leaders discussed the works of UN observers in Syria.
Davutoglu and Annan also discussed the situation in Syria's neighbor Lebanon.
