President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Dervis Eroglu said that "as the Turkish side, we desire an agreement in Cyprus which can live, is permanent, and one that comes out by taking into account the realities in the island."
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), President Eroglu stressed that he thought Nikos Anastasiadis was the strongest candidate to run in Sunday's elections for leadership of the Greek Cypriot administration.
I do not think that any candidate can win the Greek Cypriot elections in the first round, President Eroglu underlined.
Touching on the Greek Cypriot administration's various agreements with Israeli and French companies, Eroglu emphasized that such agreements only increased tension in the Mediterranean.
