ISTANBUL
An Istanbul court decided to arrest Ziya Tasali, murder suspect of US citizen Sarai Sierra, on Monday.
Tasali, who had been captured in southern Hatay province on Sunday and transferred to Istanbul to appear at court, was arrested for murdering Sierra.
33-year-old Sierra was reported missing on January 21, and her body was discovered in Istanbul's Fatih district near the remains of ancient city walls in Sarayburnu on February 2.
Tasali was sent to Metris Prison.
