ERZURUM
Crew members of the Provincial Special Administration in the eastern province of Erzurum clean up snow on village roads, whose total length is around 50,000 kilometers, per year.
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), a senior official with the Provincial Special Administration, Bedri Ozdemir said that the fight against snow in Erzurum took place under difficult conditions.
"The total length of village roads covered with snow in Erzurum and that have to be cleaned up is longer than the Ecuador," Ozdemir stated.
"The total length of roads cleaned up from snow in only the past one month is equal to four trips between Erzurum and Istanbul," Ozdemir also said.
