ANKARA
At least three armed terrorists have been neutralized in southeastern Turkey during an air-supported operation on Tuesday, according to the country's Interior Ministry.
"As part of domestic security operations, three terrorists have been neutralized along with their arms in rural parts of Kulp district of Diyarbakir during an air-backed operation by the Provincial Gendarmerie Command," the ministry said in a statement.
Turkish authorities often use the word "neutralized" in statements to imply terrorists in question surrendered or were killed or captured.
It added that the operations are ongoing in the region.
