Anadolu Agency's (AA) News Academy started on Monday the photojournalism program to train new generation photojournalists.
Those who have been enrolled in the two-month program received their first lecture from AA Director-General and Chairman of the Board Kemal Ozturk, who explained the significance of photo footage in the new generation media.
AA Deputy Director General and Editor-in-Chief Omer Eksi lectured the attendees on the basics of journalism, while Deputy Director General Ebubekir Sahin taught of corporate culture and publishing principles.
Participants who successfully completed the programme, will be employed at the AA.
The training program is set to cover 160-hours of theoretical education under 13 titles in the first month and 160-hours of practical training in the second.
Courses are primarily planned to cover the techniques for photo-shooting, processing and photo-interview.
The theoretic education is comprised of courses on various journalism-related subjects ranging from new generation journalism to news jargon, news-writing, news photography, photo processing, corporate culture and photography history.
Participants will gather before their first course every morning to cover the latest news in domestic and world politics, economy, sports and social life.
