ANKARA
The Anadolu Agency (AA) has signed a subscription agreement with Abu Dhabi-based Al-Ittihad media company in the United Arab Emirates as part of its efforts to claim a bigger share in the Middle East market.
AA's Deputy Director General Cagatay Culcuoglu said the agency would be more influential in the Gulf region with the agreement signed with Al-Ittihad.
"This agreement is of utmost importance and we have made a high level cooperation. AA has become more well-known in the Middle East and Africa and begun to be recognized as an international news agency," said Culcuoglu.
AA had also signed subscription agreements with Lebanon, Jordan, Tunisia and Morocco.
