Fifteen PKK terrorists have been killed in Turkey’s southeastern Hakkari province, the military said on Monday.
In a statement, the Turkish General Staff said the terrorists were “neutralized” during a counter-terrorism operation in Hakkari's Yuksekova district on Sunday.
The PKK - listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU - resumed its 30-year armed campaign against Turkey in July. Since then, more than 290 members of the security forces have been martyred and thousands of terrorists killed.
