UEFA's disciplinary body has announced that Serbian football club Partizan's home ground, Partizan Stadium, will be partially closed for the next UEFA Europa League home match as a sanction over the behavior of some of the club's fans.
The one-match penalty was imposed on Partizan after Serbian fans unfurled a "racist" banner, threw fireworks onto the pitch and pointed laser beams towards the eyes of the opposing team's players during the UEFA Europa League matchday one Group C match played against England's Tottenham Hotspur in Serbia on September 18, according to a written statement on UEFA's website Monday.
The Serbian side was also fined €40,000 ($50,000).
Partizan will host Turkish club Besiktas in Belgrade on October 23 in UEFA Europa League's matchday three.
