Turkish Airlines Euroleague Top 16 Round 1 starts on Thursday. Turkey's Galatasaray Liv Hospital host Israel's Maccabi Electra in Istanbul, the game at Abdi Ipekci Sports Hall tips off at 20:00 local time and Turkey's Anadolu Efes play away to Spain's Barcelona, the game at Palau Blaugrana is going to tip off at 21:45 Turkish local time.
Fenerbahce Ulker of Turkey will meet the reigning champions Greece's Olympiacos Pireaus in away game on Friday. The game at Peace and Friendship Stadium in Pireaus tips off at 21:30 Turkish local time.
Sixteen teams divided in two groups (groups E and F) will play each other in a round-robin format, and after 14 rounds, four teams from each group will qualify for the next round. Remaining eight teams coming from Top 16 will play a 5-game knock-out and the winners will advance to the final four in Milan, Italy.
