Santos to face Palmeiras in Copa Libertadores final
Santos eliminate Boca Juniors with 3-0 score in semifinal
ISTANBUL
Santos defeated Boca Juniors 3-0 Thursday to qualify for the Libertadores final.
Diego Pituca scored the opener for Santos in the 16th minute at Estadio Urbano Caldeira.
Santos doubled the lead as the second goal came from Yeferson Soteldo in minute 49.
Two minutes later, Lucas Braga made the score 3-0 with a close-range finish.
Brazil's Santos were held to a 0-0 draw over Argentina's Boca Juniors in the first leg of the semifinal so they moved to the final with an aggregate score of 3-0.
Santos will play against Palmeiras in the final at Rio de Janeiro's Maracana stadium on Jan. 30.
