Italian football club Roma sacked their Croatian head coach Ivan Juric on Sunday after only 12 matches in charge.

"We would like to thank Ivan Juric for his hard work these past weeks,” Roma said in a statement.

"He handled a difficult environment with the utmost professionalism, and for that, we are grateful. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

Roma said they are looking for their third head coach of this season after suffering a 3-2 defeat to Bologna in a Sunday home match.

In September, Juric, 49, was hired by Roma as the Italian Serie A club replaced Daniele De Rossi, who is a former Roma and Italy midfielder.

Juric had four wins, three draws and five losses in 12 matches at Roma.

Roma are now in 12th spot in the Serie A division. They are also 20th in UEFA Europa League standings.
